Communications and Relations Manager
Michaela Wolverton joined the Harris staff in June of 2013. She is a graduate from Peru State College where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Marketing. She has a strong musical background, having played the trumpet all through middle school, high school and college, singing second soprano and alto for just as long. Michaela was a part of the Madrigals singers, concert choir, concert band and jazz band at Peru State. She also worked as a light and sound technician for the Peru State College Misty Blues Show Choir. Michaela took part in the Intercollegiate Honor Band held at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and performed her senior vocal and trumpet recital in 2013.
While at Peru State, Michaela learned various marketing techniques and advantages, taking classes in multiple branches of business and marketing, including entrepreneurship, contract law, promotions, music business and salesmanship.
Michaela dabbles in music writing, and taught herself to play guitar in the eighth grade. While she still is around the same playing level, it is a hobby she very much enjoys in her free time. Her taste in music varies greatly as she claims to simply enjoy a little bit of everything. Her favorite composer is Tchaikovsky, while her favorite pop-rock band is Fall Out Boy.
In her free time, Michaela enjoys cooking/learning about new recipes, browsing Pinterest, playing video games, and playing with her grumpy cat Simon and crazy kitten Chopin.
