Harris seeks to employ dynamic, motivated, talented, university-trained educators to provide private and group music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. Applicants with strong skills in a secondary instrument (e.g., voice, piano, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, etc.) will be given first consideration. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a music field and/or equivalent experience and must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess the ability to instruct beginner to late intermediate students, ages five (5) and up. Preference of at least three (3) years music teaching experience, individual should be resourceful and motivated to seek the necessary tools to support individualized student learning.
Instructors will participate and encourage student involvement in two annual recitals, as well as the annual faculty recital. Must possess integrity, demonstrating excellence in communicating with a positive, reinforcing and compassionate style. Seeking individuals with dedication and long-term commitment with our professional, reputable academy. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, not having had any convictions for a crime other than minor traffic offenses.
