Group Classes FAQ
Absolutely! We encourage an open line of communication between students and their instructors. We do not, however, give out instructor contact information without their consent. If you have a question for your instructor, contact the office and we will either relay your message or have the instructor contact you shortly. Please note: communication regarding attendance, payments, etc., should be directed to the office.
If there is a room available (check with the office), by all means – practice away! During the busiest times of the day (4:00 pm – 7:00 pm), room space is at a minimum. Another option, feel free to utilize the student computer in the hallway to improve on varied skills (e.g., composition, note reading, ear training, rhythms, etc.).
Regular attendance is key in making solid progress when learning any new skill – especially music! If you can’t make it to your lesson or class for some reason, a call is appreciated. And then there is that issue of practicing…your teacher will provide guidance and recommendations for how and how much to practice. With the desire to learn and a “can do” attitude, just about anything is attainable!
Group classes generally run September 1st – May 31st. Please see individual class details for specific information as some class durations vary.
