About Us:
HAA has been sharing the gift of music with Nebraska students since 2004 through private and group instruction. We offer a variety of music lessons and classes for ages Newborn to adult, specializing in piano, voice, guitar, strings, brass and woodwind instruments, Kindermusik, Children’s Music Academy and a host of other group class offerings.
HAA has grown to be the largest music school in Lincoln – all while maintaining a personal touch, warmth and a caring focus on each student and family in our program. We continually aim toward a high benchmark of excellence in everything we do, especially in the experience we provide for students and families. Our teaching team is guided and mentored to whole-heartedly and sincerely partner and achieve that goal.

Roles And Responsibilities Of HAA Teachers:
- Eagerly embraces and warmly embodies the mission and values of Harris Academy of the Arts
- Makes a 2 year (year-round) teaching commitment
- Cares about being part of the HAA team and enthusiastically participates in all team trainings, face-face meetings and information online team trainings. Teachers commit to the studio values across every touchpoint in the student experience.
- Enthusiastically supports the various efforts by HAA designed to attract and retain students
- Demonstrates passion about retention and aims to sustain an average student retention rate of 85% or more across all lessons/classes
- Teaches weekly music lessons/classes per the HAA calendar (year-round)
- Maintains available teaching schedule as outlined and agreed upon in your individual contract with HAA
- Diligently communicates with parents regarding student progress
- Encourages and closely monitors progress of students
- Maintains accurate, updated and complete records of students’ progress and development via progress reports and daily lesson/class documentation
- Motivates and encourages students to participate and obtain personal success in varied contests, recitals and performance opportunities
- Actively participates in opportunities to promote student excellence (e.g., recitals, festivals, special events, etc.)
- Exemplifies HAA’s core values, serving as an advocate and integral part of an outstanding place to learn.
- Assists in facilitating various “wow” experiences and gifts as initiated by HAA
- Works hard to receive outstanding feedback from parents and students on the level of communication and personalization of the learning provided
Benefits Of Teaching At HAA
- Great Work Schedule
Work up to 46 weeks out of the year, while receiving a paycheck twice a month.
- Income Potential
Increase your income by teaching introductory classes, camps and group classes throughout the year. Kindermusik teachers can benefit by teaching Kindermusik birthday parties, PlayDates, or demo classes. Professional performing teachers may obtain gig opportunities to perform for events such as weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, celebrations, and more.

HAA takes care of the administrative work as we handle office duties such as billing, collection, marketing, and coordination of annual calendars, special events, community performances, and recitals.
