Trevor Cochrane received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University. While attending NWU, Trevor was very involved in the music department, performing with groups such as the Touch of Class Jazz Choir and the Nebraska Wesleyan Symphonic Band. His vocal experiences with the Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir provided the opportunity to tour and perform both domestically and abroad in venues such as the St. Cecelia Cathedral in Omaha and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Additionally, he has toured internationally in seven countries with the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music, and has competed in national barbershop festivals with the Lincoln Continentals barbershop choir.
Trevor served as a bass section leader in the NWU Choir, principal bassoonist in the NWU band, as well as principal trombone in the NWU Jazz Band. He is a member of ACDA, Tri-M, NAfME, and is an alumnus of Mu Phi Epsilon. Trevor taught in the Ogallala Public Schools for three years – teaching grades 6-12 vocal music, music foundations, and basic guitar – before returning to the capitol city to join our team at HAA. Outside of teaching, he enjoys composing, cooking, and riding motorcycles.
